A Journey Through Wines from Extreme Lands – 30/31 October 2016

The event arrives in Mogliano Veneto, just a few kilometres from Venice, dedicated to wines produced in geographically challenging areas, where viticulture represents a true act of courage.

This initiative was created to promote and showcase to consumers and professionals the unique and extraordinary results that come from these extreme conditions. This encounter–and sometimes clash–with nature often gives rise to rare wines, sometimes rustic but always rich in character and personality, carrying stories, emotions and humanity in every bottle.

After the first two successful editions held in Montegrotto (PD), Torreglia (PD) and last year in Rome, the event returns to Veneto on 30 and 31 October at Villa Braida in Mogliano Veneto (Treviso).

This year, “Wines from Extreme Lands” also opens its participation to biodynamic wine producers.

Croatia will also be present as guest country, showcasing extreme wines from Istria and Dalmatia.

More than 50 wineries will participate, presenting around 200 “extreme” and biodynamic labels, available for tasting during a two-day workshop.

Within the event, three guided tasting seminars will take place on the theme: “The courage to be unique: mountain wines, island wines, and heroic wines from Croatia.”

The tastings will be led by Adua Villa, Alessandro Scorsone, and Slovenian sommelier Mira Šemič.

Participation in the seminars is by reservation only.
